Valentine’s for Veterans

A GRATEFUL NATION, INDEED!

There really are no words big enough to thank these men and women who fought for our freedoms.

It’s such a humbling experience to share time with these Veterans. After joining forces with several schools, Glove House and youth programs in a Paw it Forward kindness campaign, making Valentine’s cards for Veterans, Kim Stanton of Abby’s Paws for a Cause and I were able to help deliver the cards to an amazing group of soldiers.

Of course we played second fiddle to Roadie and Amita as they worked the room, scooping failing hands up with their heads, supporting fingers that wiggled to scratch an ear or head, and smiling faces leaned forward to illicit a kiss – all while stories of both service to country and past dogs were shared.

It’s such an honor to meet these incredible people who changed so much for so many – often returning with no thanks or recognition. Projects like these help remind them they will NEVER be forgotten and we truly are a grateful nation. And though it doesn’t begin to measure the appreciation we have for you I say……. THANK YOU!
