STPCA Seminar 2018

What a week!!! Southern Tier Police Canine Association has a week long seminar each year and its one of the few with FANTASTIC tracking opportunities along with real life scenario training for scent work, bite work and building searches. Amita had a rough start with an injury getting in the truck Monday, but recuperated and got in some great tracks. Cheryl Runyan and Jimmie got some good tracks all week and I was able to start Pierce tracking.

Thank you Wyatt for two days of GREAT track laying, it was a HUGE help. Nora got some tracking in……a big switch from airscent she’s done for years. And great building searches for arson dog Pierce. We also did cadaver work with the search dogs. Everybody was happy and exhausted at the end of the week and we’ll wait patiently for next year.

Started Pierce, the arson dog, tracking Monday morning at the Southern Tier Police Canine Association’s yearly week long seminar. This is Pierce on Friday!!! This is a dog that just wants to work. What a good boy……an example of what’s in shelters and rescues 😢

Thank you to trainers from all over USA and Canada, and to Officer Larry Vanek and STPCA for continuing the best training around.
